A Fourth Russian Plane Carrying Parts of the S-400 Systems Arrives in Ankara

The Turkish Defense Ministry confirmed on Saturday the landing of a fourth Russian cargo plane carrying parts of the Russian S-400 missile systems to Mürted Air Base in the outskirts of Ankara.

A statement issued by the ministry said: “The supply of parts of the system” S-400 “Russian continues The fourth plane landed at the base of Mürted Air Base.”

Russia’s S-400 missile system began shipping to Turkey on Friday. The Turkish Defense Ministry said three cargo planes on Friday carried a number of tractors, a transport vehicle and loading to the Mürted Air Base . For its part, said the Turkish Defense Industry Department that the supply of other parts (of Russian systems) will continue in the near future.

The first news about the negotiations between Russia and Turkey on the supply of the system “S-400” Russian missiles to Turkey in November 2016. In September 2017 confirmed the Russian side signed a contract with Turkey in this regard.
