A Remake of The Last of Us on the Way to the Computer

All roads lead to PC: According to reports, a remake of The Last of Us is coming to PC with a release date for September
Last of Us Remake Part1″ has been pre-ordered on PlayStation Direct. The game will launch on September 2 for the PlayStation 5, but it will not be available for PC that day. However, Naughty Dog has confirmed that it is also in development for PC. The game includes the Left Behind single player (DLC), but not the multiplayer mode.

Although Naughty Dog has not yet announced a remake (not a remaster, but a remake) of The Last of Us, in the past, Jeff Grubb has recorded that he believes the remake will be launched during the holiday season, while Tom Henderson also believes it will likely be released in the fall 2022

When Sony announced that it was committed to bringing their biggest exclusives to the PC, it should come as no surprise that the remake of The Last of Us would be included in such a list. In recent years we have seen that exclusive games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection and of course its ultimate hit “God of War” (our review here) have been released for PC.

The latest State of Play event also confirmed that Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales will join Steam on August 12, 2022. Recent rumors suggest that the game Sackboy and also the game Returnal, a third-person shooter that picked up Best Game Award at the 2022 British Academy Games Awards of the Year, on the way to PC.

Release on September 2nd
And now, the well-known leaker ‘insider_wtf’ tweeted: ‘Part 1 – 02.09.022’ followed by two emojis offering the release of the PlayStation 5 and PC. Of course, this teaser does not really indicate that it is related to The Last of Us, but for fans it did not take long to connect the point.
