APPLE DROPPED FROM 1ST TO 17TH PLACE IN THE RANKİNG OF INNOVATİVE COMPANIES

The Fast Company business portal has published a new rating of innovative companies – it includes 50 technology leaders, including Apple. True, the company has lost ground in comparison with last year’s rating, dropping from 1st place to 17th.

As the editors of Fast Company notes, Apple’s main innovation over the past year was not the smartphone or tablet, but the A12 Bionic chipset, the industry’s first SoC based on the 7-nm process technology.

A year earlier, the company took the “gold” in the innovation ranking thanks to AirPods headphones, an iPhone X smartphone and a contribution to the development of augmented reality.

It should be clarified that Apple still outperforms competitors in the field of innovation according to the Fast Company version. The top 50 did not include such technological giants as Google, Samsung and Huawei.

The first place in the new ranking is taken by the Chinese startup Meituan Dianping – a service for quick booking of accommodation and movie tickets, as well as ordering food. This is reported by Rambler.
