Despite the 13% drop in shipments, the sale of premium cell phones grew by 4.7% in the world during the first quarter of 2023.

A study of the world’s best-selling and most-shipped cell phones revealed that Apple and its high-end phones continue to gain ground in the market.

This was revealed by a study carried out by the consultancy Canalys, in which it is specified that cell phones of more than US$ 500 are gaining popularity in the world, representing an advance of 31% of shipments worldwide.

The consultant points out that while these shipments in general fell by 13.3%, compared to the first quarter of 2023, the sale of premium cell phones grew by 4.7% in the same period.

Meanwhile, the study also revealed that cell phones under US$200 lost popularity in the world.
