Barzani Condemns Deadly Attack on Wedding Party In Turkey
The Kurdistan Region’s President Masoud Barzani on Sunday condemned last night’s deadly bombing in Turkey’s Gaziantep city as a terrorist attack against life and human happiness, saying that combating terrorism is the shared responsibility of all.
“Terrorism and extremist ideology are serious threats to all and are against life and human happiness. Therefore, combating terrorism is the shared responsibility of all countries and needs seriousness on the part of the international community,” the Kurdish president said in a statement.
A bombing at a wedding party in Gaziantep on Saturday night left 50 people dead and more than 100 injured. Among the dead were the bride and groom.
Barzani sent condolences to families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded.
