Car Bomb Attack Hits Police Headquarters in Turkey’s Southeast

A large car bomb attack hit the police headquarters of the Midyat district in the southeastern province of Mardin on the morning of June 8, injuring several people.
A number of ambulances and security reinforcements were sent to the scene after the attack, which took place at around 11 a.m.The bomb-laden car was detonated when it was trying to pass through the barriers of the headquarters, which were built as a precaution against attacks, according to inital information.Damage also occured in the nearby buildings.
Turkey was also hit with a car bomb attack on June 7, which targeted a police bus in Istanbul’s Vezneciler neighborhood.
