DS is Already Testing the Facelift of the DS 3 Crossback

With an increasingly complete and expanding range of products, DS is also working on its products that have been its main workhorses for some years: the DS 7 Crossback will receive an update soon and the DS 3 Crossback will also follow this Same way.

This is demonstrated by the photographs taken of a test unit while driving on European routes with some camouflage on its bodywork. As is often the case in these mid-life updates, they will be fairly specific and subtle modifications, without altering its design in depth. The plotting is concentrated in the front sector, where the main changes will be: a slight redesign of the headlights and the grille is expected, along with the bumper, which will incorporate a Led light signature at the ends. There will be no major changes to the sides -except for the design of the alloy wheels-, while at the rear the headlights will receive a new internal design.

Although at the moment no photographs of the interior have emerged, it is expected that the instruments will incorporate a small update, with new graphics and more information, as well as new finishing details and a renewed infotainment system, with more functions. According to our colleagues from the Old Continent, it would also add more driving assistance systems to make it almost on par with its older brother, the DS 4.

Where there would be no change is in its mechanics: the gasoline and diesel versions will remain, as well as the 100% electric variant called E-Tense, with 136 CV and 340 kilometers of autonomy, which is developed on the Group’s e-CMP platform Stellantis and that shares many of its characteristics with the Peugeot e-208 and e-2008.

Considering that it will only be a facelift, the renewed DS 3 Crossback would be presented before the end of the year, with its arrival at European dealerships in early 2023. In our market it should also arrive at the beginning / middle of next year. It is worth remembering that the B-SUV was launched at the end of 2019 and that it is currently marketed in three versions, all with the 156 hp 1.2 PureTech gasoline engine, associated with the 8-speed EAT8 automatic transmission.
