BYD produces an average of 5 million masks per day
The company issued a statement last week, saying that the company produces about 5 million masks daily and is currently planning to further expand its production capacity. According to reports, founder Wang Chuanfu will lead a team of 3,000 engineers to build a production line from scratch, and about 90% of the production line is made by BYD. However, the company did not specify which type of mask to produce.
54.8 million masks produced daily across the country
Since the beginning of this year, since the outbreak of the new corona epidemic, the demand for masks and disinfectants has soared, resulting in a shortage of supplies. According to the National Development and Reform Commission, China is currently the world’s largest mask manufacturer. As of February 22, China’s daily production volume was about 54.8 million masks, about 2.8 times that of February 1.

In addition, GAC Group, oil giant Sinopec and iPhone assembler Hon Hai are also producing masks. It is worth noting that since the epidemic, some companies have said that after the production of masks, the company’s stock price rose sharply. Taking Dayang Group as an example, the company announced last month that the stock price had soared more than doubled after opening a mask production line.
