Holding a joint press conference with Guinean President Conde at the Presidential Complex, President Erdoğan said: “My esteemed friend Conde was among the first ones to call me during and in the aftermath of the July 15 coup attempt, and to follow the process. Mr. President took action against FETO institutions in his country right after the coup attempt. FETO schools in Guinea have been transferred to the Turkish Maarif Foundation with the support of my esteemed friend.”President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of Guinea Alpha Conde held a joint press conference at the Presidential Complex following their meeting.

“FETO SCHOOLS IN GUINEA HAVE BEEN TRANSFERRED TO THE TURKISH MAARIF FOUNDATION”

Stressing the importance he attaches to Guinea and President Conde, President Erdoğan expressed his gratitude for the solidarity displayed by President Conde against the July 15 coup attempt of the FETO (Fetullah Terrorist Organization), and said: “My esteemed friend Conde was among the first ones to call me during and in the aftermath of the July 15 coup attempt, and to follow the process.

Mr. President took action against FETO institutions in his country right after the coup attempt. FETO schools in Guinea have been transferred to the Turkish Maarif Foundation with the support of my esteemed friend. Now these schools are being administered by the Maarif Foundation. I especially wish that this decisive stance of Mr. President sets an example to other countries, as well. We will hopefully eliminate this terror organization all together, which has been usurping the property and children of the people under the disguise of charity for 40 years.

Our African friends started to see more clearly the true intention of this organization especially after July 15. No organization that sheds the blood of the innocents has become successful so far, nor can they. Hopefully, FETO will be thrown into the rubbish bin of history with our joint efforts. President Conde is assuming the term presidency of the African Union as of 2017. I believe that they will thereafter further increase their support to us.”
