Finland is Tightening the Rules for Applying for a Visa for Russians
Just like everyone else: Finland cites visa requirements for Schengen norms
From September 1, Finland is tightening the rules for applying for a visa for Russians to comply with existing EU directives.
Now, in order to receive a Finnish visa, it is necessary to submit only application forms, a passport, a copy of a Russian passport, a photograph and a receipt for payment of the visa fee. In the autumn, those who wish to receive a visa will have to attach tickets and documents confirming their residence during the trip to the application, as well as prove their financial soundness with a certificate of employment with information on salary and bank statement for the previous three months.
“These changes will be applied from September 1 to all applications submitted to the diplomatic missions of Finland and to the visa centers of Finland throughout Russia,” the Finnish Foreign Ministry said
