First Hyperloop Transport Technologies Passenger Capsule Shown

More than three years have passed since Ilon Musk introduced to the world the design of the futuristic transport of the future, called Hyperloop. At first, the idea seemed very fantastic, but over time we came  closer to the project. The technology has already passed more than one series of experiments, and just recently, Hyperloop Transport Technologies presented its first passenger capsule at a ceremony in Spain, which can accelerate to 1,200 kilometers per hour.

The length of one passenger capsule (called Quintero One) is 98.5 feet (about 30 meters), the cross-section is 9 feet (2.7 meters), the weight is 20 tons, and it can hold up to 40 people. According to available information, there are hundreds of options for the interior design of the capsule, but they all look like the interiors of a science fiction film.

“We are considering completely different interior concepts that go beyond just seating arrangements. This will be part of one of our future updates. “- said Ben Cook, Hyperloop Transport Technologies communications director.

Also, Mr. Cook confirmed that there would be a toilet in the capsule, so, apparently, at some moment of movement, it will be possible to get up and move safely inside the Hyperloop capsule. Capsules will be able to depart from the platform every 40 seconds, which will allow to carry up to 164,000 passengers per day. After the demonstration, a new Quintero One capsule will be sent to France, where in 2019 a 1 km long test track will be built.

Recall that Hyperloop Transportation Technologies is one of two companies that develop transport capsules. The first, in addition to launching a capsule in France, plans to open a prototype Hyperloop track in central California 5 miles long, and its “sister” Virgin Hyperloop One in February of this year 2018 also demonstrated its concept of a passenger capsule.
