Four Wounded In Explosion In Southeastern Yüksekova
Four people, including a reporter, have been wounded in a blast in the Yüksekova district of southeastern Hakkari province, just hours after a curfew which will become effective late on March 13 was announced.
The explosion took place in Yüksekova’s Orman neighborhood on March 13 and wounded four people. A reporter from Jinnha News Agency, identified as Gülfidan Ataman, was among the wounded persons, according to initial reports.
While the cause of the blast remains unclear, local residents claimed a mortar shell hit the neighborhood.
The division command post in Yüksekova dispatched helicopters to hills surrounding the district.
