Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, leader of the main opposition  Republican People’s Party( CHP), paid a visit to Berkin Elvan’s family, 15-year-old boy who died on Tuesday after being in a coma for nine months after being hit on the head by a tear gas canister during Gezi Park protests. Kılıcdaroğlu Eyes full with Tears for Berkin Elvan. After the visit, Kılıçdaroğlu warned people against provocations in the country and told citizens to refrain from violent.

Kılıçdaroğlu, and his wife Sevim Kılıçdaroğlu, Republican People’s Party’s (CHP) candidate for mayor of İstanbul Mustafa Sarıgül, CHP deputy chairman Gürsel Tekin also visited Berkin’s family at their house in the Okmeydanı district of İstanbul to give their condolences.

“The family is in deep agony. We don’t want anybody to die in this beautiful country, let alone the children. Yesterday, there were again protests as the result of which a young boy died. I give my condolences to his family as well,” Kılıçdaroğlu told reporters.
