Mazzanti Launches a New ‘Access’ Version of its Impressive Evantra

Italian company Mazzanti launches a new ‘access’ version of its impressive Evantra, with the name of Pura, it hides a heart ‘made in the USA’ capable of generating 761 hp of power.

It was June 2016 when an artisan and, practically unknown vehicle manufacturer from Tuscany in Italy, launched the first sports car ‘made in Italy’ that exceeded the barrier of 1,000 hp. To date, neither Ferrari, nor Lamborghini, nor Pagani, nor any other brand based in the Italian country had achieved such figures that the individual Mazzanti Evantra Millecavalli could boast of.

Since then Mazzanti has increased its product portfolio with versions 771, 781 or Millecavalli R, all based on the Evantra, to which they now add this recently presented Pura variant, which becomes their new ‘access’ version.

Hide a General Motors engine
Do not let the word ‘access’ be scared, because you must bear in mind that in the central position of an aluminum and steel chassis there is a 6.2 V8 heart of General Motors origin, to which Mazzanti installs a pair of turbochargers to raise its power up to a considerable 761 hp when it rotates at 6,300 rpm. It also boasts of generating 910 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. They are better figures than those offered by its predecessor, which had a 7.0 atmospheric V8, also of origin ‘made in the USA’.

Similar figures are sent exclusively to the rear wheels by means of a seven-speed manual gearbox, which allow you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds and overcome the barrier of 360 km / h top speed .

Among the updates carried out by Mazzanti is also the arrival of lighter components, which have allowed to scratch a few kilos of weight, adding a total of 1,290 kilos.

Competition components
Among these improvements is a new brake system with carbo-ceramic discs signed by the Italian specialist Brembo. The front consists of 380-millimeter discs and six-piston calipers, while the rear has 360-millimeter discs and four-piston calipers. All this is hidden behind some light wheels signed by OZ Racing, which are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires in size 255/35 R19 at the front and 315/30 R20 at the rear.

It also presents a scheme of independent suspensions on both axles, which optionally can also add electronically controlled shock absorbers to modify their hardness.

Improvements in your cabin
Mazzanti plans to manufacture about five units a year, each one created according to the tastes and needs of its lucky customer. And it is that the ‘made to measure’ is one of its hallmarks. For that reason, they allow you to choose between an endless number of upholstery in leather or Alcantara fabrics, choose between aluminum or carbon fiber trim … Although they will not be able to limit what you have in mind for that interior with two seats and where it now also arrives. a new center console featuring a larger touch screen and a more modern and intuitive interface. In addition, in the center of its steering wheel they have also placed a second screen that informs us of some parameters of the mechanics.
