Nightclub Reina Attacker in Istanbul, was Referred to the Court for Arrest

Abdulkadir Masharipov, who attacked the nightclub Reina in Ortaköy, Istanbul, was referred to the court for arrest.
A young man who killed 39 people and wounded 65 people in Istanbul on a New Year’s night in Ortaköy was arrested in Esenyurt on 17 January after 17 days of attack.
For about a month, the Istanbul Anti-Terrorism Branch Directorate questioned the murderer, today in the morning was referred to be taken to the cour of Istanbul Çaglayan The murderer was questioned there by public prosecutor Gokalp Kökçü who carried out the Reina massacre investigation. Prosecutor Kökçü, refered Abdulkadir Masharipov to the Magistrates’ Court.
During the Reina part of theinvestigation, 50 people who were taken into custody on the grounds that they were connected with the incident was referred to the court also and 24 suspects, including the murderer’s wife Zarina Nurullayeva, were arrested and sent to prison. It was learned that there were 8 suspects under investigation.
