Porsche 718 Boxster 25 Years Limited Series Features and Price

Porsche celebrates 25 years of the 718 Boxster with the Boxster 25 Years special series, available in a limited edition of 1,250 units, equipped with the 4-liter, 400 hp six-cylinder boxer engine.

Porsche celebrates the 25th anniversary of the roadster range by presenting a special model made for the occasion, the Boxster 25 Years. The new car has a limited production of 1,250 copies worldwide and is based on the GTS 4.0 model, powered by a 4-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with an output of 294 kW (400 hp).

The car incorporates many of the stylistic features of the Boxster prototype that in 1993, at the Detroit Auto Show, heralded the great success of the open-top two-seater. The production version of the model was then presented in 1996 with very few cosmetic changes compared to the concept car and is now in its fourth generation, with over 357,000 units produced to date.

Features Porsche 718 Boxster 25 Years
One of the most striking features of the Porsche 718 Boxster 25 Years of the special model is the reinterpretation of the Neodymium color, a brown with iridescent reflections similar to copper, which already in 1993 was an unusual contrast to the Silver GT Metallic base color of the pioneering prototype on display in Detroit.

In the special edition it is used for the front under-bumper, the single-blade side air intakes, the lettering and the 20-inch bi-tone alloy wheels. Porsche offers the Boxster 25 Years in GT Silver Metallic, although Jet Black Metallic and Carrara White Metallic are also available.

Another striking element can be found on the fuel cap, embellished with the “Porsche” lettering that distinguishes the Exclusive Design range. The lettering is made of aluminum, as are the high-gloss tailpipes of the sports exhaust system, while the edge of the windshield is finished in contrasting black.

In line with the style of the historic original, the special model combines a burgundy leather interior with a red fabric hood, embossed with the words “Boxster 25”. Both are also available in black.
