Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Welcome their Daughter Lilibet Diana

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have just made it official that their second child, a girl they have named Lilibet Diana, has already come into the world. With a statement published this Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed that the birth occurred last Friday at the Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, and that both the mother and the girl are in perfect condition.

The statement issued by the couple assures that Meghan Markle and Lilibet Diana are already at home, recovering after delivery. Knowing that the names chosen were going to provoke all kinds of comments, Prince Henry and his wife wanted to explain why they were chosen.

“Lili has been so chosen by her great-grandmother, her majesty her queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, has been chosen in honor of her beloved late grandmother, the Princess of Wales, ”reads the text of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The British royal family is expanded with one more new member who, in this case, has been born outside the borders of the United Kingdom. After the difficult situation in which their relationships are, the arrival of little Lilibet could help to smooth things over and promote a rapprochement between Prince Henry and his relatives.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are already parents to little Archie, who turned two last month. The arrival of Lilibet Diana means the extension of the family and a great joy for the prince and his wife, who enjoy a much freer life now that they live far from the British crown.

The couple, who decided to leave life as members of the crown although they still have their titles, moved to live a few months ago in the United States, where they have become the center of media interest and where they have begun to rub shoulders with the celebrities of the place.
