The capital of Sao Paulo has a new app for transporting passengers by car, MobizapSP, which came about on the initiative of the city hall to lower the cost of travel in the Brazilian metropolis.

MobizapSP also aims to put an end to the dynamic tariff, practiced by apps like Uber and 99, the main competitors of the city’s new transport application.

According to the city hall, in 13 days of operation, MobizapSP has already accumulated 192 thousand passengers and 52 thousand registered drivers, remembering that the app is partially limited to the city of São Paulo.

At MobizapSP, the driver takes 89% of the fare and, according to the city hall, 80% of the trips made were cheaper than the same trips made by rivals 99 and Uber.

In a note, the city of Sao Paulo said: “The benefits also reach drivers, as the app has a fixed administration fee of 10.95%. In this way, it is possible to earn an even higher remuneration”.

As an important addition to the passenger transport modal in Sao Paulo, the new application helps to reduce the load on the already overloaded urban transport system of the capital of São Paulo.

MobizapSP has two types of service, namely Economy and Premium, and registration is very easy, even requiring a selfie to identify the passenger.

Payment for trips is made by the application itself through cash, credit cards, debit and in-app credit.

Available for Android and iOS, the “mobizapSP Passageiro” app requires your full name, phone number, email and sending a selfie, the main security item for both the driver and the passenger.

However, the problem is the time to confirm the registration after validating the data, reaching 10 days, which is a lot for those who need to have a quick alternative for transportation.

MobizapSP trips can only depart from the capital, but the destination can be some cities in the metropolitan region, such as Guarulhos, for example.
