Saudi Stocks end Last Ramadan Sessions up Slightly

The Saudi stock market concluded trading today, Thursday, the last month of Ramadan, the green month of Ramadan, for the fifth consecutive session, supported by the growth of 10 sectors, led by transportation

The general index “Tassi” recorded a slight growth of 0.10%, up to the point 7050.66, to win 0.49 points from yesterday’s levels.

Trading will stop at the end of today’s session for the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, to resume on Sunday May 31, 2020

Liquidity today reached about 8.8 billion riyals, and came from trading of 274.8 million shares, through the implementation of 198.9 thousand transactions, shares of 93 companies achieved a rise, while 84 other companies declined.

On the sectoral level, 10 of the 21 market sectors, led by transportation, rose 3.7%, medicines 1.9%, utilities 1.1%, while the remaining 11 sectors, long-term goods, fell 1%, telecommunications and food production 0.6%.

Regarding the performance of shares, ACIG shares led advances today by .72%, followed by Al-Yamamah Steel by 7.04%, after the company announced the rise in the profits for the second quarter ending in March, to 32.1 million riyals.

And SABIC rose by about 1%.

On the other hand, Shares of Tubes shares led the declines by 3.84%, Halwani Brothers shares closed 3.32% lower, and Savola shares recorded a decline of 3.01%.

Shares of Al Khaleej Training fell by about 2%, and the company had announced a decrease in the profits of the first quarter 2020 to 4.4 million riyals, and by 40% compared to the same period in 2019.

The stock of STC, the most active liquidity in the stock market with a value of 1.7 billion riyals, settled at the level of 100 riyals, while Dar Al-Arkan topped the quantities activity by trading 25 million shares, up 0.74%.

Parallel Market “Nomu”

The index of “higher end growth” ended the session today, declining by 0.3%, equivalent to 19 points, reaching the level of 7171 points, amid transactions that reached a total value of about 35.3 million riyals.

Al-Samaani shares declined today by 3%, the shares of Business fell by 1.14 %%, and His Highness fell by less than 1%, while Al-Omran rose by 1.11%.
