Shocking Claim: Turkish Hürriyet Newspaper is to be Sold to Qatari
Turkish media mogul’s Aydın Doğan’s daughter and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hürriyet Newspaper Vuslat Doğan Sabancı resigned with a surprise decision on the weekend.
Immediately after the resignation decision was heard, Evrensel Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Fatih Polat brought a shocking claim to the agenda.
Fatih Polat claimed that Hürriyet newspaper is to be sold to Qatari, was the reason for resignation of Vuslat Doğan Sabancı. According to the writings of Fatih Polat, not only Hürriyet, but also the other newspaper of the Doğan Group, was on the agenda to sell Qatari media group.
Here is the interesting part of Fatih Polat’s writing
After resignation of Vuslat Doğan Sabancı, several names from Doğan group has confirmed that Doğan Group, was on the agenda to sell Qatari
It is known that the tension between President Erdoğan and the Doğan Group is continuing and that this high-level ‘farewell’ news is exactly the reason, after the change is this a move to provide for the state’s relations with Doğan group? Bring the question?
I am asking this question, my sincere friends in the Doğan group. I tried to get answer fron inside of the group.
One of the information I get is this: “Vuslat Doğan Sabancı was expected to resign last week friday the week we passed, and it was delayed.
A reason given is that Vuslat Doğan Sabancı is tired of the hard winds that are experienced.
But some of the claims are even more serious. It is stated that the sale of Hürriyet will come into the agenda, following this recruitment and that this has been spoken in the group for about 3 months. It is stated that one of the newspapers thought to be selling is also Posta.
Among the allegations that were made today that there was an interview about the sale of Hürriyet. Well, who Hurriyet will be sold? The answer to this question is : It is likely a company with a reputation.
What about Posta?’ I asked. The response : Company for Qatar, but not as clear as Hürriyet.
It is claimed that, many administrators in the group recently received pension money. This claim is also expressed as a development that strengthens the preparedness of sales spoken within the group.
As I said, these are claims based on backstage information. Will this sale occur, then other balances will come into play, if so, will the company sell to Qatar, time will show. What is clear to me is that those who give this information reflect the true information so far.
