Tesla Shanghai Car Factory can Produce up to 3,000 Vehicles per Week

Tesla’s car factory in Shanghai started construction in January this year and construction is progressing very fast. Tao Lin, vice president of Tesla, said that the Shanghai car factory already has production capacity and is awaiting the relevant approval process. After the approval, the depot can be officially produced and sold immediately, and the annual output is expected to reach 3,000.

It is reported that Tesla can complete the delivery target of 360,000 electric vehicles this year. The key lies in the performance of Shanghai automakers. Tao Lin said that the brand has been tested and produced in Shanghai, and mass production and delivery can begin as long as the manufacturing license is obtained. Tao Lin believes that Tesla can improve efficiency and reduce costs in Shanghai’s automakers.

As early as May of this year, Tesla has announced that its Shanghai depot will produce the Standard Range Plus for the entry model Model 3, which is open for public booking and is expected to be delivered from 6 months to 10 months. In addition to speeding up production, Tesla also upgrades its electric vehicle performance through software updates. Tesla recently launched an update that allows Autopilot to detect signs on the road and even re-plan the itinerary after identifying the ice cream cone.
