“The World is a Better Place Without these Two People in Power”
A Republican in the US House of Representatives resorted to a “fabricated” image, to demonstrate his critical view of former President Barack Obama’s policies toward Iran.
Paul A. Gossar, a Arizona lawmaker, posted on his Twitter account a picture of Obama gathering shaking hands with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, behind them two American flags, and a third resembling an Iranian.
“The world is a better place without these two people in power,” Gossar wrote alongside the photo.

However, the fake image used by the Republican deputy spread on the Internet more than 4 years ago, knowing that Obama and Rouhani have never met or shook hands.
According to the Washington Post, the original image is from a previous meeting between Obama and former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
According to the newspaper, it is the third time in two months that the controversial MP has tweeted misleading or wrong content on the Internet.
After the comments, which pointed to the falsehood of the image, Gossar tweeted again indicating that he “knew that it was fabricated”, then reposted it again with a new comment saying: “The world is a better place without Obama as president. The world will be better without spiritual. The point remains For everyone except the weak. Obama has encouraged, appeased, nurtured and protected the world’s leading terrorist sponsor. ”
