Falconeri, on the edge of the summer
So soft that they call it “the cashmere of summer fibers”, the new blend of silk and cotton created by Falconeri for the summer does not only have a very soft hand. From the union of the two raw materials, a high quality and ultra-performing yarn was born: in terms of lightness and breathability, associated with one hundred percent natural materials, but also thanks to a resistance that does not fear wear and washes, and maintains the original characteristics of the fabric over time. A mix of evergreen excellence. For all budgets.

Millie Bobby Brown adds the title of “jewelry codesigner” to her long list, which also includes the role of testimonial and face of Pandora. The former Stranger Thigs actress collaborated with the brand’s designers and creative directors to design four pendant charms and a single earring inspired by her idea of summer. A starfish, a pineapple, a pink flamingo, an ocean wave and a sea turtle: “All the symbols I have chosen represent what I prefer about the summer and each charm contains a fun memory or an important meaning for me”.

Uniqlo launches the super-breathable garments of the Dry-Ex line with a special installation in the Milan store. The real news? The process that allows you to produce clothing from recycled plastic bottles. And it combines sustainability with super breathability: with a technology that allows the fabric to absorb sweat from the body and expel it quickly to the outside. The brand’s commitment to sustainable solutions also manifests itself in the partnerships chosen for the furnishings and consumables used in the stores: in September 2019 Uniqlo began a plan to reduce the consumption of disposable plastic starting with the elimination of plastic bags. The goal is to achieve, during 2020, an overall reduction of 7,800 tons per year.

“Dreamcatcher” is the first washable silk collection by La Perla in the name of daily luxury. Designed by the Creative Director Alessandra Bertuzzi, it offers lingerie and nightwear inspired by vintage elegance and designed to be worn every day: thanks to a special and delicate finishing process, designed to ensure that silk can be machine washed without shrinking or losing brightness.

The natural glow of Van Cleef & Arpels
Botanical gardens or imaginary bouquets? From the beginning, the Van Cleef & Arpels maison has been able to celebrate nature with precious metals and eternal gems. If in 1938 a romantic colored clip exhibited cornflowers and ears of wheat, in the following years the floral trend reached heights of great opulence. Today, however, it would seem to smell the corollas of the “Frivole” collection, which presents eight new creations in which portability finds pride of place: the necklace in white gold and diamonds has a detachable pendant, ready to become a clip . It is enough to admire the archives of the French high jewelery house to see red carpet flowers triumph, which in this collection find space in watches with small “secret” dials like buds. But everyday life now requires more minimal lines: for those who do not want to exceed – without renouncing to shine – the “Frivole” models are the right combination. Leaving the pavé in diamonds or pink sapphires to frame the face and hands with luxuriant charm … and a little frivolity. (by Virginia Ricci)
