Wanama and John L Cook maintain their businesses, their employees, their production chain and their authorities and are already thinking of continuing to expand horizons.

The company Big Bloom, with 100% Argentine capital and which mainly exploits the Wanama and John Cook clothing brands, achieved the approval of the Preventive Agreement proposal after agreeing to restructure its debts and thus, after the cessation of payments and the consequent preventive contest in which it fell in 2018, today it expands its sales channels, analyzes new investments, expands its workforce and its supplier portfolio.

In 2018, due to the opening of imports, the drop in sales and the high financing rates of the market at practically usurious levels; the company had a breakdown in the financial line necessary to be able to produce and meet all its obligations (payment of salaries, taxes, etc.).

This context caused the cessation of payments and therefore the need to present its preventive contest to restructure its liabilities.

In the midst of this situation, a pandemic occurred that caused serious consequences for the textile sector, but with a great effort from all its collaborators, replacing its channels with an incipient e-commerce, and the subsidies granted by the National State, it was possible with certain difficulties continue to pay the wages of all workers, maintaining all jobs. All the premises on the street and shopping malls were also maintained.

As the sector was reactivated, after the most devastating effects of the pandemic were overcome, Big Bloom continued to invest all its income to produce new seasons and pay salaries and taxes.Simultaneously, the company continued processing its preventive contest.

The negotiations were carried out through the study of Drs. Pablo Bolado and Sebastian Saborido, who negotiated their credit with each creditor, rebuilding business relationships and continuity of ties.
