Tesla apparently made it this week for the first time to build 1000 Model 3 on one day.

Company boss Elon Musk turned now in a letter to his coworkers and wants to see the 1000 Model 3 in the day now continuously.

The electric car maker Tesla has this week apparently reached its interim target to build 1000 Model 3 in one day. This reports “Electrek“, referring to a letter from Tesla CEO Elon Musk to his staff. Musk wants to ensure that in the future every 50 hour , or at least 7000 copies per week of his first mass-market model Model 3 will run off the conveyor belt.

As Musk cited in the letter to the staff, “If you can in any way help us ramp up Model 3 production to a steady 1000 per day, then  everyone in the company should consider this your top Consider priority. ”

Musk also encouraged its employees to focus on reducing production costs. In the e-mail, Musk said, “It’s important to realize that the cost of each car is about 10,000 pieces and processes, and the cost of a basic Currently, Model 3 costs about $ 38,000, so on average, each part or step costs around $ 3.80, which means finding cost-effectiveness is a matter of cents, though that’s hard to imagine. ” Tesla wants to sell Model 3 at prices from $ 35,000 profits, so far missing so still $ 3,000.

In the third quarter, Tesla’s 83,500th model 3 produced more vehicles than ever before, outperforming analysts’ expectations.
