Saudi Pharmacy Chain Nahdi Medical Closed 75 Pharmacies Last Year

The CEO of Nahdi Medical Company, Eng. Yasser Joharji, revealed that the company closed about 75 pharmacies and opened 18 new pharmacies of a larger size that provide primary medical care services, during the period from the beginning of last year 2022 until the third quarter of the same year.

Joharji said in an interview with Argaam on the sidelines of the Saudi Stock Market 2023 Forum, we made this decision during the past year, as we focus on the quality of the services provided, and it is not important the number of pharmacies as we maintained the numbers of our guests and provided technical services via the Internet.

He explained that the technical services of Nahdi Medical contributed to the company’s revenues by more than 10%, stressing that it aims to increase its contribution during the coming period.

He pointed out that the company opened its fourth primary care center, which includes 20 specialties, in the city of Jeddah about a week ago, with their intention to open new primary care centers in other regions of the Kingdom, adding that about 80% of patients need primary care services instead of visiting hospitals, which enhances Integration in the health sector.
