Oscar winner Jamie Foxx ( 55 years old) has spoken for the first time since the news of his admission to a Georgia hospital for a medical complication broke out a little over three weeks ago, where he still remains joined. Foxx was admitted to a hospital in Georgia (Atlanta) on April 11, and the actress also reported what had happened with a message in which she barely provided details and also asked for privacy for her family: “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx , experienced a medical complication yesterday. Fortunately, thanks to the quick action and great care, he is already on the mend.”

The incident that landed him in the hospital occurred while Foxx was in Atlanta, the city where his new movie, Back in Action, is being shot. In it, she shares the bill with Cameron Diaz —in what is her return to the cinema after years away from Hollywood— and Glenn Close.
