KUALA LUMPUR – Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) through its quick flood claims initiative acted to help 53 customers of the company affected by flash floods around the Klang Valley, earlier this week.

Allianz Road Rangers tow trucks also provide towing assistance to 76 private cars and motorcycles, including 25 customers who have flood coverage in their insurance policies.

Head of Claims for Allianz General Damian Williams said two four -wheel drive trucks along with a claims caravan and an adjustment team have been mobilized to assist customers at some of the locations involved.

“Floods are now a common occurrence and it is a big challenge for insurers.

“But we must always be ready, act fast and serve our customers when they need it.

“This time we have 60 Allianz Road Rangers tow trucks that are always ready in the Klang Valley to ensure we can serve customers quickly,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

According to Damian, Allianz General’s rapid flood claims settlement assets are equipped with seven four -wheel drive trucks, a claims caravan and a nationwide coordination team in addition to 250 units of the Allianz Road Rangers fleet.

He added that for quick claim settlement, customers can call 1-800-22-5542 and an adjuster will be sent to survey the affected properties within 24 hours to assist with claims.
