Borsa Italiana Reached 79.56 Billion Euros

In the first quarter of 2020, the AUM of the ETFplus market of Borsa Italiana reached 79.56 billion euros, with an increase of 8.01% compared to March 2019.

In March 2020 ETFplus reached the record value and contracts traded in a single month: 20.52 billion Euros for a total of over 1.31 million contracts.

ETFplus, the Borsa Italiana market dedicated to ETFs, ETCs and ETNs, opens 2020 with growth, according to the data published in the ETFplus 2020 Observatory.

In the first quarter of 2020, the AUM reached 79.56 billion euros, an increase of 8.01% compared to March 2019.

2.25 billion Euros have been raised since the beginning of the year, with a growth of 49.35% compared to the same quarter of 2019. The equivalent value exchanged in this first quarter 2020 is equal to 43.72 billion Euros, for a number of over 2.57 million contracts.

In the first quarter of 2020, 32 new ETFs were listed, for a total of 1,274 instruments available on the ETFplus market, of which 1,059 ETF and 215 ETC / ETN.

In February 2020 ETFplus welcomed Rize ETF with the 1 new ETF quote; in March 2020 Credit Suisse Asset Management listed 4 ETFs becoming the 23rd issuer on ETFplus of Borsa Italiana.

In March 2020 the record value and contracts traded in a single month were reached: 20.52 billion Euros for a total of over 1.31 million contracts.

In the first quarter of 2020, the record for RFQ functionality was also marked with an exchange value of € 3.58 billion, with an average contract size of € 2.16 million.
