One of the most beloved action stars in cinema, Bruce Willis has just completed 68 years of age and had a family party that left fans excited. In early 2022, the star  announced his retirement, which came after the diagnosis of aphasia, a language disorder that affects the ability to communicate. On Instagram, actress Demi Moore shared a video of Bruce with the family and received a shower of affectionate comments from the public and celebrities.

“Happy birthday, BW. So glad we were able to celebrate you today. I love you and I love our family. Thank you all for the love and well wishes – we feel all of it,” wrote Demi Moore in the post. She and Bruce Willis were married for more than ten years, between 1987 and 2000, and are the parents of three children: Rummer, Scout and Tallulah Willis.

BRUCE WILLIS IS DIAGNOSED WITH FRONTOTEMPORAL DEMENTIA

One year after the diagnosis of aphasia, Bruce Willis suffers an aggravating factor in his health condition. Through social networks, the family communicated to fans that the actor’s condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia, a disease that affects behavior and has among the most common symptoms impulsiveness, disinhibition and, in some cases, depressive crises.

“Unfortunately, the communication issues are just a symptom of the illness Bruce is facing. While this is painful, it’s a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis “, says the statement posted on Instagram by Rummer, eldest daughter of Bruce Willis with Demi Moore.

In the text, the actor’s children also thanked the fans for their support. “Our family wanted to begin by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s first diagnosis. In that spirit, we wanted to update you on our beloved husband, father and friend, as we now have a deeper understanding of what he is going through.”

The disease that Bruce Willis faces still has no cure and the family has been joining efforts to raise awareness around it. “Today, there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope will change in the coming years. As Bruce’s condition progresses, we hope the media will focus all of their attention on this disease that needs more awareness and research,” the family said in a statement.
