Hollywood’s eternal charmer is no longer kissing – at least not on camera. Heartthrob George Clooney has declared the end of his love scenes.

After discussions with his wife Amal, the actor has now pulled the plug on romance. No more kissing scenes with other women. That’s over for him, as Clooney told the British “Daily Mail.”

The star of films like “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Ticket to Paradise” looks back on a career filled with romance—alongside actresses like Julia Roberts (58) and Catherine Zeta-Jones (56). But age plays a role: “I’m trying to follow the path Paul Newman took: ‘Okay, I’m not kissing women anymore.'” He doesn’t reveal what his wife thought of such scenes, however.

Kissing scenes were an issue for him early in his career. In 2022, he described to the “New York Times” a moment when a director criticized his technique: “I remember early in my career I had to film a kissing scene with this girl and the director said, ‘Not like that.'” And I said, ‘Man, that’s my style! That’s how I do it in real life!'”

Speaking to the Daily Mail about getting older, Clooney said: “When I turned 60, I had a talk with my wife. I said, ‘Look, I can still play basketball with the guys. I play with 25-year-olds.'” He continued: “I can still keep up, I’m in shape. But in 25 years, I’ll be 85. It doesn’t matter how many granola bars you eat, that’s a real number.”
