LinkedIn Brings Verification to Job Postings

After launching it to users last month, LinkedIn, the business social network, announced on Monday that it is bringing the verification feature to job postings.
The company said in a post on its blog that it has now started showing documentation information related to jobs, including: documenting the job post or the company that published it.

When users see certification information in job postings, it helps them ensure that the information received is verified by either the job poster, LinkedIn, or one of its partners.
The authentication information will show if the publisher is affiliated with an official company Page, or if the email address, workplace, or government ID has been verified by CLEAR.
“We offer these documentation processes to help you feel confident in your search and to give recruiters the opportunity to build trust with potential candidates,” the company wrote in its post.
“We’ve now started documenting job postings, and as we expand access to our free documentation tools, you’ll see more of them through the jobs you explore.”
And last month, LinkedIn introduced new ways to authenticate the identity and workplace of users. Unlike Twitter, Meta’s new LinkedIn verification process does not include paid subscriptions or blue verification marks.
At the time, LinkedIn said it believed verification should be available to everyone, which is why its verification features would be available for free.
And unlike Twitter and Meta, which bundle verification with additional features, LinkedIn chooses to keep its verification features focused on confirming users’ identity in an effort to provide an extra layer of protection when it comes to fake or fraudulent accounts.
