Oil Price Hike on Tuesday in Philippines

After the meager oil price rollback last week in the Philippines , another large oil price increase will be borne by motorists and drivers on Tuesday.

Upon notification by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. it said that P4.20 per liter will be added to the price of gasoline and diesel, and P5.85/L to kerosene.

It is said that Cleanfuel will apply the same amount to their petroleum products except for the corosene that they do not have.

The price hike will begin at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10. Great 8:01 a.m. Cleanfuel will implement their price adjustment.

Last week, there was a cut in the price of gasoline of P0.65/L, while P1.15/L for diesel, and P1.15/L for kerosene.

The still conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions in various parts of the world, are the reasons cited by the Department of Energy (DOE) for the increase in the price of petroleum products.

As of May 3, 2022, DOE data shows that the price of gasoline has been increased by P17.80 per liter, diesel by P30.30 per liter, and kerosene by P23.90 per liter.
