Opposite Tesla Model 3 – Hyundai Loniq 6 Lands in Israel

Two years after the Hyundai Ioniq 5 arrived in Israel, it is joined by its sedan sister – the Hyundai Ioniq 6, which will compete directly with the Tesla Model 3 and later also with the BYD Seal and the Volkswagen ID.7. The prices range from 214 to 286 thousand shekels, with the importer offering no less than three drive configurations in 6 different finish levels.

Compared to the Ionic 5, it is 22 cm (485.5) longer, 11 cm (149.5 cm) lower with a 5 cm (295 cm) shorter wheelbase. -130 liters (401 liters) while in front the volume is 45 liters in the rear-wheel drive versions or 14.5 liters in the double-wheel drive versions.

The Ionic 6 will be marketed as mentioned with three options for drive units, the basic of which lands here for the first time in the concern’s models. It will be equipped with a single rear engine with a modest power of 151 hp, will accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds and will be offered with a 53 kWh battery that guarantees an electric range of 429 km.

The intermediate versions, also with a single engine in the rear, will offer a power of 228 hp, will shorten the classic acceleration to 7.4 seconds and will be offered with a 77.4 kWh battery, which guarantees an electric range of 614 km. At the top of the range there will be a dual drive version with A pair of engines with a total power of 325 hp, which will shorten the acceleration to only 5.1 seconds, but will also shorten the range to 583 km.

Ultra-fast charging at a maximum rate of 350 kW (which is not yet available in Israel) will allow the batteries to be filled from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. In the more common positions of 50 kW it will require a much longer period of time: 58 minutes for the small battery or 73 minutes for the large one.

The base version with the small battery will be marketed in a single finish level called “Premium”, with the same specifications as the entry version with the large battery, with specifications that include a touch screen (“12.25″) and a digital dashboard of the same size, wireless charging, a 220V socket, LED lighting, peripheral parking sensors, a cabin door Electric charger, remote drive, heated steering wheel, electric adjustment and heating for the front seats and light 18” rims.

The “Lakshari” versions also add to the specification an overhead view, an electric sunroof, Matrix-LED lighting, leather upholstery, ventilation for the front seats and heating for the rear. In the “Limited” versions, the specification also includes an upgraded audio system, front seats that can be fully tilted and memories for the driver’s seat, but without a sunroof window.

The safety specification includes in all versions autonomous braking, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, warning of a passing vehicle when a door is opened and warning of forgetting a passenger in the back. The luxury and limited versions also include surround cameras with a display of the dead zones on the dashboard.
