Aerolineas Argentinas has Canceled Seven Flights

Aerolineas Argentinas has approximately 1,200 employees from different operational areas both in Ezeiza, Aeroparque and the provinces in isolation as a result of the new wave of Covid-19 infections in the country and as a result they had to cancel seven flights.

The affected flights are AR1720 Aeroparque / Santa Fe, AR 1422 Aeroparque / San Juan, AR1430 Aeroparque / San Luis, AR1526 Aeroparque / Santa Rosa-Río Cuarto, AR 1622 Aeroparque / Bahía Blanca (affects only one-way section) and the AR 1854 Ezeiza / Trelew.

Added to these itineraries was the cancellation of an international flight from Punta Cana to Buenos Aires, whose passengers would return with the plane that makes the Buenos Aires-Miami route, which would make a stopover in the Dominican Republic.

The passengers were contacted via email and are being relocated on subsequent flights.

“During January, Aerolineas is carrying out an average of 230 daily departures and transporting about 24,000 passengers per day. The company is making a significant effort to sustain its operations in the summer season and that the fewest possible flights are affected”, company sources said.

Delays
Last Monday, the president of Aerolineas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani, had warned that flights could suffer delays, modifications and / or cancellations due to the new wave of infections that also affects the company’s staff and today he expressed himself again via Twitter.

“We hope they know how to excuse the situation, we made a very great effort to sustain operations in the middle of the summer season and affect the service as little as possible,” he said.
