Sales on Flights to Verona and Fuerteventura went Live at Play Earlier Today

Play adds Fuerteventura and Verona to the route system. The two destinations are already on sale, but the first flights will be on December 20. There will be competition with Icelandair for Verona.
Sales on flights to Verona and Fuerteventura went live at Play earlier today. The business newspaper reported last week that Icelandair had started sales to Verona, and we can therefore expect competition between the companies for the sale of ski trips by nationals next winter. The first flight of both companies to Verona will be on December 20, and Play’s flight to Fuerteventura will start on the same day.
Our ski and sun country trips in the winter have been really popular with Icelanders. It’s great to be able to contribute to reduced prices by giving people a range of options to get to their dream holiday, and these two new destinations in the route network will certainly provide an opportunity to do just that. – Birgir Jonsson, CEO of Play
Verona is a historic city in northern Italy, known for its beautiful architecture, music and as the setting for William Shakespeare’s novels. The city is also home to the famous Arena di Verona, an amphitheater that is still in operation for opera, concerts and other events. However, Verona’s ski resorts are what attracts many in the winter.
Fuerteventura is in the Canary Islands, which are well known to Icelanders for their beautiful beaches, comfortable climate and good conditions for outdoor activities.
