Belarus-Lukashenko Orders Law Enforcement to End Protest

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Wednesday ordered the Interior Ministry to end the unrest that erupted in Minsk after his disputed re-election, Belta news agency reports.

The Head of State also ordered a strengthening of border security to prevent the intrusion of “combatants and weapons”.

He further announced that state media workers who went on strike during the protests would not be allowed to return to work, Belta added.
