Covid 19: Celebrities Said they’ve been Through Episodes of Depression
The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown have created a lot of loneliness and distress. Celebrities are no exception: Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez both recently said they’ve been through episodes of depression.
“You know, it’s not easy. I think at one point or another during the pandemic everyone felt depressed or anxious about what was to come, ”said Jennifer Lopez in an interview with Latin station El Zol. Confined for several weeks with his family, Alex Rodriguez’s fiancee – also mother to twins Max and Emme, and stepmother to Ella and Natasha – claimed that on several occasions, “everyone in the house is ‘felt awful’, especially the diva’s 12-year-old daughter.

Max and Emme’s mother, J.Lo, here with Alex Rodriguez, said the whole family found confinement difficult.
“At one point Emme came up to my bed crying, saying, ‘I miss my friends. Why is all this happening to us? ”“ Recounted Jennifer. These revelations echo those made by Lady Gaga on the same day on her Instagram account. Prone to talk openly about her mental health, the 34-year-old star posted a photo in which she wrote that she was having a more difficult time. “I felt depressed tonight. I was thinking of all the people who are suffering during this pandemic, ”she said.
Refusing to be downcast, Lady Gaga then mentioned that she had put on makeup in order to cheer herself up. “It’s so important to celebrate! Celebrate your worth, your culture, your voice in the world. You are all essential, and your joy is too, ”she continued. Same story with J.Lo, for whom the best cure for depression is to force yourself to accomplish something, especially during times of discouragement. “Do a little workout at home, do something that makes you feel good. Cook something you like, shake it up, keep moving, “advised the 51-year-old star. These are some very wise words that will surely help more than one during the more difficult days of 2020 that are still to come!
