The Colombian airline EasyFly is preparing a change. It is about his name, which he would not stop using as of August.
As Caracol Radio learned, the aviation company will make the modification due to a legal dispute several years ago with the English ‘holding’ Easy Group.
The English company, the station added, owns “the EasyJet airline, which covers routes in Europe and part of Africa” and sued EasyFly for alleged trademark infringement
Caracol Radio asserted that Eastfly explained that its name is the acronym of its company name: Empresa Aérea de Servicios Y Facilitacion Logística Integral S.A., “registered, used and protected trademark in Colombia since 2006.”
However, a court in London (England) would have made a decision on the matter and would have ordered the change of name to the Colombian airline.
Thus, the station assured that the new name of EasyFly, which would begin to be used in August, will be Click.
EasyFly is an airline that connects municipalities in the country (such as Apartado, Saravena, Corozal) with large cities (Bogota, Medellin, Cali).
