Facebook Launches Feature for Small Businesses

Facebook launches feature for small businesses to have stores on the social network and says it will be possible to display products in lives.

In the United States, novelty includes the possibility of shopping without even leaving the social network.
Facebook announced on Tuesday (19) the launch of the Lojas feature, which will allow small businesses to maintain online commerce on the social network and on Instagram.

According to Facebook it will be possible to “save products you are interested in and place an order – on the business website or without leaving the application, if the store has enabled checkout”. This last feature, which allows you to purchase directly from the app, will only be available in the United States.

According to the social network, the launch of the new function came amid the “challenging moment” caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which has led many stores to close or record losses in sales.

Another announcement made this Tuesday is the possibility to mark products that are in a Facebook store in a live. This will generate a link, with direction to the product, facilitating the purchase. According to the company, this feature is not yet available and should be implemented soon.
