Many Chinese-Funded Companies Still Regard the United States as Their Investment Focus
The Chinese version of the “2021 Annual Business Survey Report on Chinese-funded Enterprises in the U.S.” released today by the China General Chamber of Commerce in the U.S. and the U.S. China General Chamber of Commerce Foundation shows that despite the many uncertainties, many Foreign-funded enterprises still regard the United States as their investment focus, and in the long run, they are still committed to the development of the US market.
The report pointed out that this year’s interviewed companies are more optimistic about the future development direction of Sino-US bilateral relations and economic and trade cooperation. At the same time, it is expected that the predictability and stability of the US business environment will be improved; Sino-US relations are expected to improve. There are more companies (39%), especially compared to 33% and 30% in 2020, and 37% and 34% in 2019. Interviewed executives emphasized that their companies are seeking to play a role in establishing strong and positive bilateral business relationships—for example, to continue to strengthen brand awareness and enhance brand image.
