Kate Middleton Plays with Federer at Wimbledon and Surprises

Kate Middleton plays with Federer at Wimbledon and surprises the Swiss: did he manage to score a goal?
The admiration of Dona Letizia and the entire Royal Family for the great Rafa Nadal is well known. All of them, including the Emeritus, share with the rest of the Spanish the pride of having one of the best athletes in history. However, it would be unusual to find a scene similar to the one that was broadcast this Saturday on YouTube, where we saw the Princess of Wales playing a game with Roger Federer himself. And the best thing is that Kate Middleton managed to make history once again at Wimbledon, since she did something to the Swiss.
Prince William’s wife of England went toe-to-toe with Roger Federer and scored against the champion. The prince and his wife were invited to a training session for some of the young hopefuls to be chosen to be ball boys during the championships that will take place from July 3 to 16 in London.
Kate even went down court and tested her drive against the tennis great and even appears to have scored a point on the 20-time Grand Slam winner, a scene that was caught on video and broadcast on British television news.
The meeting is featured in a short YouTube video filmed at the All England Club and its tennis center earlier this month. In the video, Kate shows off her tennis prowess as she takes part in a doubles rally against the eight-time Wimbledon champion, in which she hit a low forehand that Federer was unable to return. “I think he was on the line,” said the humorous Swiss when he saw himself defeated by the princess.
The Princess of Wales, beyond the joke, was interested in finding out everything it takes to be a ball boy in Winbledon. Kate is a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, organizer of the Grand Slam grass event.
In the video released this Saturday, in addition to seeing Kate Middleton playing, Federer recalls that “I used to be a ball boy in Basel when I was ten years old” and explained that “when you were once a ball boy you are always a ball boy.”
