Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella Joines the Indian Company as an Investor

Microsoft Corporation President and CEO Satya Nadella is associated with Grow, India‘s online investment platform. Grow has reported that Satya Nadella has joined the company as an investor and advisor. However, the company is yet to disclose details about Satya Nadella’s financial stake.

In October 2021, online platform Grow raised around Rs 1,885 crore led by Iconic Growth at a valuation of US$ 3 billion. Investors such as Alken, Lone Pine Capital and Steadfast also participated in the Series E funding round. Grow’s existing investors Sequoia Capital, Ribbit Capital, YC Continuity, Tiger Global and Propel Ventures have also picked up stakes.

Let us tell you that in the year 2016, the Grow platform was started by four former Flipkart executives – Lalit Keshere, Harsh Jain, Neeraj Singh and Ishaan Bansal. This online platform allows direct investing in mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), stocks and IPOs.

Recently the company has also launched a service to invest in IPOs, Sovereign Bonds as well as Futures and Options on the platform. The company claims to have over 20 million users on its platform, with 70 per cent of its investors coming from tier-2 and 3 geographies.
