Modern Educational Technology Laboratory Started at NIETT

As part of the Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations of Naval Institute of Educational Training and Technology (NIETT), a modern educational technology laboratory has been commissioned.

NIETT completed 50 years of service to the nation on 25th April this year. “As part of the Golden Jubilee Year celebrations, Vice Admiral AK Chawla, Chief of the Southern Naval Command, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Educational Technology Laboratory at NIETT,” a defense release said. This laboratory has 3D training equipment along with modern facilities.

NIETT is the premier institute of the Indian Navy and the first Indian Naval Training Unit to get ISO certification in August 1998. During the programme, the Vice Admiral also released the eighth issue of ‘Learning Lounge’, the biennial training magazine of NIETT. The ‘Learning Lounge’ highlights emerging trends in training technologies.

The institute trains officers and sailors from all branches of the Indian Navy, the release said. NIETT also trains officers from the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Coast Guard and friendly countries.
