Most Popular Diseases on the Internet
The results of the survey conducted between August 2017 and July 2018 using data from Google Keyword Planner France, were published on November 2, 2018 on the website of the online pharmacy and are sometimes quite amazing. It appears that rare diseases are more often sought after than everyday diseases.
Endometriosis, the most popular disease on the Internet by the French
At the top of the list are rare diseases such as endometriosis, a gynecological disease affecting 10 to 20% of women of childbearing age. This disease comes in first place with 175,500 monthly searches. Then comes Charcot‘s disease with 144,900 searches, this degenerative disease of the nerve cells responsible for the control of voluntary muscles, fast-changing and difficult to cure, and which accounts for 1,000 new cases each year. Lyme disease, transmitted by tick bites and much talked about in recent years, ranks third with 114,400 searches per month.
The mental illnesses of our modern societies are also at the top of the list, as burn-out occupies the 15th place, with 74,000 searches, just like the narcissistic pervert who is right behind and the depression, in 27th place with 50,400 searches. At the bottom of the list are purpura, ulcer and tapeworm, each with 27,100 searches each month.
