Oracle Opened the First of Two Underground Cloud Data Centers in Israel

Iconic global computer technology corporation, Oracle, opened the very first of two planned underground cloud data centers in Israel. These hi-tech data centers span across four floors and are situated approximately nine stories below ground level, providing advanced cloud services to defense contractors and government offices, as well as allowing the citizens of Israel to store computer data on local servers. “This facility can withstand a rocket direct hit, a missile direct hit or even a car bomb. The services will keep running with customers not even knowing that something terrible has happened,” said Eran Feigenbaum, Director of Oracle Israel. The site has generators in case of power loss, and is one of only thirty such cloud centers in the world.
