Telekom Boss Höttges is to Become Daimler’s Supervisory Board

Deutsche Telecom boss Tim Höttges will control the work of the Daimler board of directors as a member of the supervisory board. Höttges is to take the place of Paul Achleitner on the committee, who will not run after two terms, as Daimler announced on Wednesday. Achleitner is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank.

Höttges will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting on April 1. The 57-year-old has been CEO of Telekom since the beginning of 2014 and has most recently appeared together with Daimler boss Ola Källenius. The carmaker recently published a conversation between the two as a podcast.

“Timotheus Höttges is an experienced CEO and a proven specialist in digitization in telecommunications,” said Manfred Bischoff, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. “Under his leadership, Deutsche Telekom AG made a big leap forward. With his qualifications, he fits perfectly into the supervisory board of Daimler AG. ”

On Wednesday, the Daimler Supervisory Board also extended the contract from Hubertus Troska, the China board member, until the end of 2025. Troska has been on the board since 2012. His contract would have expired at the end of the year.
