The Central Bank of Turkey is Holding 2 Critical Investor Meetings

The Central Bank of Turkey is holding 2 critical investor meetings today. The first will be the meeting with Turkish investors at 11:00 and the meeting with foreigners at 16:00. The CBRT Chairman made the statement that “credit growth is below the average” at the meeting held with domestic investors.

The statements made by CBRT Chairman Kavcıoğlu at the meeting with domestic investors are as follows;

“Monetary policy has had a positive impact on commercial loans, but loan growth is below average. Inflation will decline once rising commodity prices and supply chain factors are eliminated. We will observe the cumulative effects of our current monetary policy stance in the first half of 2022.”

Current account balance gave a surplus in August and September, and the improvement in the annualized current account balance continued.
