The “Yellow Metal” Jumps 6 Pounds at The Price of A Gram

Gold prices in Egypt, at the conclusion of trading today, Monday, February 14, recorded 21 karat about 816 pounds per gram, and 18 karat recorded 699 pounds per gram, while 24 karat recorded to record 933 pounds per gram, and the price of the gold pound recorded about 6528 pounds.

The prices of the yellow metal fell in the middle of today’s trading by two pounds per gram, after successive increases during the past days, during which the yellow metal witnessed significant price jumps in the Egyptian market by about 12 pounds at the price of the gram in the goldsmiths shops without workmanship.

This is due to several reasons, foremost of which is the movement of global gold prices, in addition to the celebration of Valentine’s Day, which is an occasion for the recovery of the gold markets, given the increased demand for gifts of gold jewelry on this occasion.

It is worth noting that Nagy Farag, advisor to the Minister of Supply for Gold Affairs, expected the gold pound to exceed the price of 7000 pounds.

An advisor to the Minister of Supply for Gold Affairs added, during media statements, that the gold pound could rise in the coming days and exceed current prices.
