(BIRD) cooperates with PT Surya Utama Nuansa (SUN Energy) in installing solar panels with a capacity of 215kW per year at the BIRD head office located in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. On the other hand, Dion Jefferson, Chief Commercial Officer of SUN Energy, said that the cooperation with Blue Bird is not limited to the sale and purchase and installation of solar panels, but rather a long-term partnership. “With Blue Bird, we are partners in nature, so Blue Bird is like renting. The rental fee will be below the price of Blue Bird’s current TDL (electricity base rate), so that the savings are the gap between the price of PLN and the price of SUN. There is no investment. But there are savings for the next 25 years,” added Dion. Not only installing solar panels, in order to cut carbon emissions, the company also plans to increase its electric vehicle (EV) fleet in the taxi and rental car segments by 200-500 units this year.
